Our Fees
Our standard fee for individual therapy is $155 per 50-minute session, and $230 per 75-minute session for couple therapy. These services are GST exempt.
Payment can be made by cash, Interac or credit card at the end of your in-person appointment. Please note that there is an additional $3.00 fee for all credit card transactions. There are no additional fees for other payment methods. For online or in-home appointments, payment can be made by e-transfer 24 hours prior to your appointment.
Meadows Therapy is committed to offering accessible services and will consider a sliding scale fee for those who are in need. Please contact us to see what is possible. Meadows Therapy believes that everyone is deserving of help and we try not to turn anyone away for financial reasons.
Meadows Therapy does not direct-bill insurance companies. Our services are provided by master’s degree (MSW) registered social workers (RSW). These services are covered by most insurance plans. However, it is your responsibility to check with your insurance provider as you will be responsible for paying each session and submitting receipts to your insurance company for reimbursement.
Therapy services provided by a registered social worker (RSW) may be claimed as a medical expense tax when filing your income tax return. Please speak to an accountant about your options.
Cancellation Policy
Meadows Therapy requires 24 hours notice for cancellation except in emergency situations.
Please call or email any changes to your appointment 24 hours prior to your appointment time to avoid being charged the full session fee. No-shows, leaving your appointment early, or late cancellations will be charged the full session fee. This policy is strictly enforced. If you are finding it difficult attending your scheduled appointments, please speak with your therapist to come up with a solution such as switching to a service (online, in-office, or in-home) that is most convenient for you. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.

In-Home Session Policies
Not all home environments are suitable for a therapy session. When considering an in-home session, consider if your home offers privacy to protect your confidentiality and if the environment is free from excessive distractions.
For both client and therapist safety and to maximize the benefit of in-home sessions, the following guidelines must be agreed to:
- “The clock doesn’t stop” so please ensure that during our scheduled time, your home has minimal distractions.
- The therapist will attend your home on time. If you are not home, the therapist will provide a 10-minute grace period (part of session time) then take leave if you do not return. The full fee will be charged.
- Only you (the client) can participate in the therapy session unless previously discussed and agreed upon.
- Your home must be safe. The home must be structurally sound with no physical safety concerns and no rodent or insect infestations. Animals who are aggressive or who cause significant distraction (barking, for example) must be contained in another room. The therapist reserves the right to end the session if the therapist feels there is any threat to their safety.
- Individuals who will be in the home, including the client, cannot be under the influence of drugs or alcohol during the scheduled time.
- If others will be in the home, ensure that there is a private space where you (or your child) will feel comfortable speaking out loud without being overheard. Consider a quiet radio or fan to minimize others overhearing.
- Boundaries are important. Sessions must be held in a private but common area. A bedroom is not appropriate.
In-home services are subject to a flat rate travel fee of $30 for up to 30 minutes of travel time. For example, if your home is up to a 30-minute round trip from our office, you will be charged $155 session fee + $30 travel fee = $185. For travel over 30 minutes, please contact us. In-home fees are required to be pre-paid via bank e-transfer or credit card no later than 24 hours before the scheduled session. In-home sessions are 60 minutes rather than the standard 50-minute session.
